Data Type Import from Power BI feature table not working probably

Hello everyone,

I have a dataset with the first 2 columns "Project ID" and "Project" (which is the full name of the project.

So I wanted to feature the table so my colleagues can use it as a data type in excel.

I have set row label as Project and Key column as Project ID and set the dataset under endorsement to promoted.

I can now see my datatype in excel.

But what I expected to happen is that I write down a project name, mark it as a datatype and get my project with all the data.

Except it can't find anything UNLESS I write down just the number which the project has as their project ID. Then it will find the project and write it down as the correct project name with the little suitcase symbol beside it.

But my colleagues can not always know just the ID number and should be able to search it by project name alone.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you!

@Hambach , Based on What I got.

Usually power bi will take a new column type, but if there is in a Power Query step Change Type and if it changing it to whole number, then you have change the step in power bi
