Hi - I'm trying to shape my data table based on various levels of income and claims, these populate the columns along with ratios and average calculations. The rows is the months which i've created a heirarchy. Now I have two sets of date types, the months based on when the data was received and the months based on when each risks tahe effect (Labelled Bdx and Inception). When I drag the Bdx field in all the data sets out fine in the table, however, when i swap that for inception, the figures in my premium columns only contain the combined total against each month, not each months premium as a running total? Secondly, wher my data starts at Dec20 (the first month of trade) I'm now seeing data in the row above even though there is no date?
Can anyone help?
@Langers7274 , The information you have provided is not making the problem clear to me. Can you please explain with an example.
Check if calculation group can help
Calculation Groups- Measure Slicer, Measure Header Grouping, Measure to dimension conversion. Complex Table display : https://youtu.be/qMNv67P8Go0
Appreciate your Kudos.
Here's my example
Hi amitchandak,
In my fields I have one called BDX Month and the values inside this field are Dec20 running to Mar22 monthly. The following columns are various values and calculations mostly running down as running totals against each month e.g if we done £100k every month, Dec22 would show as £100k, Jan21 £200k, Feb21 £300k etc until we get to Mar22 (16th month) where it will show £1.6m. However, when i swap BDX Month to Inception Month (again I have Dec20 running down to Mar22) instead of shwonig the monthly values as a running total, against every month I have the total as at Mar22 so in this example from Dec20 to Mar22 it's showing £1.6m for every month, and this is for every column.
All the values I created in BDX Month as running totals, would i need to replicate that in Inception Month?
Sorry if I haven't explained myself clearly.
