Data Source Error - Power BI says there's a connection, but won't allow me to connect

When I enter Power Query mode, I get this message:

rlsmith1994_0-1610057211247.png

When I attempt a refresh, I get this message:

rlsmith1994_1-1610057255124.png

The file is in the correct folder. I can literally see it there. So, I checked the connection in File > data source settings. It all looks good there (see the two screenshots below).

I am at my wit's end. Why can't Power BI connect to the data source, when it literally shows the connection?

Hi @rlsmith1994 ,

If my understanding is correct, you can successfully import the .xlsx file stored on the network into power BI Desktop, but you cannot open Power Query or refresh the dataset after importing the file, right?

Have you tried to select "Transform data" to enter Power query when importing data?

Best Regards,

Yuna

Hi @rlsmith1994

The Q\... Drive is in your desktop or in the network?

Power Bi needs to know the exact path

I assume that means the path has a different name? That's strange, because I have been working with this report since November and it just happened today. I don't know how to find the specific name.

My Q drive is on the network.
