Hi,
I have encountered a problem I am puzzled by:
I created a dashboard with data imported from SQL Server. Whenever I refresh the data on my local computer's Power BI Desktop, it will load in under 10 minutes.
However, when I put the same file on the remote server and refresh the data on the Power BI Desktop there, it is stuck at "Creating connection in model..." for many hours.
Following some posts I have found here, I ensured that both PBI Desktops are of the same version (July 2023), and disabled 'autodetect new relationships after data is loaded' and 'auto date/time' in settings.
Are there any other reasons for this marked difference in data refresh times and if there is anything I can attempt to rectify this?
Thank you!
Hello @psja ,
so the issue might be is that it is a remote server where the internet speed and accessing it may lead to this, while when it's on your local its reading directly.
