I am trying to create  a Oracle data source on enterprise onpremise data gateway but i am getting duplicate data source error.First i have tried creating the data source but i got credentials issue and the data souce didnot created .I have verified credentials and tried to create new data source with same name and yet i got this duplicate error issue. As first data source has not created yet do not know why i am getting duplicate error issue.Do anyone faced the same issue? Please let me know if anyone have solution for this. TIA.

Hi v-yuezhe-msft ,

Thanks for responding.I have installed getway just couple of days before and i just created 5 data sources under new gateway this one is one of 5 data source. so i dont think there is a chance of having same data souce under same gateway.

I have found solution : Under Server name i gave  <Hostname>:[Port]/sid .

For example 10.XXX.XXX.XXX:1111/XYZ

It worked .

Hi @Anonymous,

Firstly, please make sure you download the latest version of Power BI gateway from this link and install it.

Secondly, the above error always occurs when a same data source already exists, please double-check if there is such a Oracle data source under the gateway.

Thanks,
Lydia Zhang
