DAX function for calculate net amount %

can someone explain this formula i am not able to understand this 1- things

Hi,

By having "discount"/"amount you get the "% discount". 
By having 1 - "% discount" you get the what is "net amont in %". That is % of the amont without after the discount.

Judging by the dax expression you provided, this is a measure that is used to calculate net sales.
First, let's sort out the relationship between sales and net sales: Net sales = sales – (Discounts, refunds, rebates, etc). If you remove the "1-" part of the expression, the expression calculates the percentage of sales as a percentage of the discount.
For example, if the total discount is 100, the sales are 1000, net sales percentage is 1-(100/1000) = 90%.
Finally, it is recommended to use the ‘Divide’ function for division.
DVIDE(numerator,denominator[,alternate_result]) If the denominator is 0, the ‘alternate_result’ is returned
