DAX for SSAS 2012 Multidimensional

Hello,

 

I just create first dashboard using SSAS 2012 MD and published it to PowerBI Service using Enterprise Gateway.

 

I don't see SSAS connector allows to use DAX and create your own measures. I'm wondering if this feature is still not available or I'm missing something.

@Seddryck Measures for DirectQuery is slightly different than measures for AS live connection.

 

@parry2k, when you said measures are missing in SSAS connector, do you mean in the Desktop you are using the "Connect Live" option with the Preview Feature "Allow Live Connection to SSAS MD" turned on?

Yes, I'm using preview feature for live connection and also using "connect live". I don't want to use import data option becuase we have a very large database and importing is not an option. 

 

I am hoping that I will able to write DAX formulas to create custom measures and columns using live connection to SSAS MD.
