DATE error

Can someone suggest as to what I am doing wrong when creating calculated column? I am adding this formula

= DATE(2023,1,1)

but I am receiving this error.

The link you had is DAX expression syntax.

whay you are trying to do is in M Query, which the syntax is

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powerquery-m/sharpdate

Hope this clarifies!

Hi @stribor45 ,

Missing # and lower cases

#date(2023,1,1)

that worked but I don't think that was mentioned Date . Why do you need  #?
