hi,
I have a table with a lot of fields. When I click "show data points as a table", I only want a few certain columns sorted in a given order (sort of columns, not sort of rows). I can edit it in visual. But it's not saved and back to default everytime I exit the view.
Is there any way I can save the customized table I like?
Thank you.

Hi @izziehere001 ,
Thanks for the reply from JB_AT , please allow me to provide another insight:
After you adjust a visual, you can create a bookmark.
Bookmark save current filters and slicers, cross-highlighted visuals, sort order, and more.
This way you can quickly return to your custom view.
For more information about bookmarks please refer to the official documentation:
Create report bookmarks in Power BI to share insights and build stories - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
Or you can provide me with sample data and your expected effects, please remove any sensitive data in advance.
If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me.

This feature isn't available to my knowledge. You can arrange columns in Power Query, but you will need to check if they stay the same when you load into the report
Joe
It's not the same. Unfortunately. It's a weird order from nowhere.
Check out the July 2025 Power BI update to learn about new features.
