Customize axis values on the logarithmmic scatter chart
- 6 months ago
Thanks for suggestion. I've ended up goind with my original thought and building a frankenstein. There are 3 layers of the same scatter plot. One is with white circles, another is with numbers ad third one has constant lines. I've adjusted transparency and sizes to achieve that.
This is super disappointing that i have to build such frankenstein to achieve basic visualisation that modern tools should have. Thanks everyone for your ideas.
Hi bigk ,
Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.
The native scatter chart in Power BI does not support customizing tick marks on a logarithmic axis. When log scale is enabled, the axis automatically displays values based on powers of 10, and intermediate values such as 2, 5, 20, or 25 cannot be manually configured.
For better clarity, you may use tooltips to display the exact value of each point.
If you require full control over logarithmic axis ticks and formatting, a custom visual such as Deneb can be used, as it allows explicit configuration of the scale and tick values.
You may also consider submitting this as an idea in the Fabric/Power BI Ideas forum so the product team can review it for future consideration. If you do so, please feel free to share the link here so other community members with similar requirements can review and upvote it.

Thank you.
