Hello Team,
I have a problem sorting the column headers in my visual.
I have two columns from a table which are column headers in my visual.
The Months, 6 Months, YTD and Full Year i managed. But now the second headers are sorted alphabatically.
And they are named equally so i don't know how to get around this wwithout getting the sort by other column error message.
How would i achieve this?
The Detail is sorted by Sorter column. No i need to get the Detailsmain sorted too as is. But as you can see above that didn't work too much.
Thanks a heap!
Solved! Go to Solution.
In that case you need to create different names for the DetailMain headers based on how they need to be sorted and create the sorting order accordingly. ("Budget for Month", "Budget for YTD"...)

Hello Paul,
Then the colums become to wide. I solved it differently. Not very elegant, but i created unique values by using No-Break Spaces.
Thanks for thinking along with me.
As @Greg_Deckler points out, you need to sort the DetailMain column by a sorting column. However, to do so each value in the DetailMain column must have the same sorting value; so Budget must have the same sorting value for example (the Sort column has several different values for Budget). So you need a new sorting column for the DetailMain column

Hello Paul,
Thanks for clarifying further. But that means that the order of DetailsMain as a sub header will have all the same order. That will not solve it. For example Budget column under Month will be 3rd in order, but should be 2nd under YTD. Or am i missing something?

@JeroenHD Sorry, what? I think you need a Sort By column but not entirely sure.
Hello Greg, thanks for your reply. I did use that for the Month, 6 Months, YTD and Full Year. For the headers below that they are named equally so i get the message that there can't be more than one value for the same value... etc.
