Custom shape map - json file

I'm creating custom shape map using the json file. I'm trying to mimic the map from the below link.

https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Data-Stories-Gallery/Analyzing-the-UN-s-Sustainable-Develo...

The map is in just grey after importing json and doesnt do anything. I enabled the zoom but nothing is working. My power Bi version is Version: 2.120.963.0 64-bit (August 2023). Please advise. Thanks.

Hey Annie,

Upon further investigation, I saw the same issue with your TopoJSON file.

That said, you can get a world state boundary GeoJSON here:

GeoJSON Maps of the globe (ash.ms)

You can then use MapShaper to https://mapshaper.org/ convert it to TopoJSON.

Here is what I see in the Shape Map.

Hope this is helpful!

Hey Annie,

Where did you get your GeoJSON from?  It might be that it isn't valid JSON or that it is too complex (has too much coastline detail) for the map visual to render.  You're trying to load it in the Azure Maps visual?  If you can post a link to the JSON file you're using, that would be helpful to try and troubleshoot.
