Custom colour palette per visual type

Morning all,

Is it possible to set different default colour palettes per visual type? i.e. column chart uses default theme colours but treemap uses alternative palette - can this be set in the JSON theme file?

Can you set:

VisualType: Treemap

DataColours: '#808080','#292929', etc

Many thanks,

Rob

    Hi Anonymous ,

Your demand is a good idea, while it is not supported to implement in Power BI Desktop currently. You can post your new idea https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas , to improve the Power BI Desktop.

It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

To work around the issue, you can custom your Treemap color in "Data colors" of Format pane Manually.

    Best Regards,

The issue with specifically the treemap visual is that you can only set the colors manually, and there is no default color. So, then the values drastically change, you end up with some colors you have not picked, like pink or whatever, and then you have to go in and manually change things.
