Hi,
I'm trying to find a way to combine the Report Usage Analyics that i can pull into desktop with a Salesforce dataset that categorizes our users. I created a copy of the Usage Analytics report into my workspace to access the usage data. For some reason, I can't seem to combine Saleforce data sets with Power Platform Data set pull of my Usage Analytics data. Is there a way around this? Maybe im importing the usage analytics dataset incorrectly or can i just not combine the data?
what exactly is the error message and why are you using the usage reports in the first place? They are ephemeral and unreliable. Use the tenant audit log extracts instead.
I'm not getting an error message. When i import the dataset into Power bi desktop from the usage reports, the options to access the power query editor are greyed out. Same with adding in extra data sets.
I am not familiar with the tenent audit logs.
You are supposed to make a copy of the usage report before accessing its dataset. Then you can blend in other data. If you access it directly as a shared dataset then yes, further editing will not be possible.
