Hi everyone,
Scenario:
- Created custom tables in Dataverse (also having existing custom tables)
- Trying to connect dataverse connector as datasource in PBI Desktop to create Report
I cannot see newly created custom tables (as well as few existing custom tables) when we try to connect with Dataverse Connector. Although when we try from OData method, it shows the table.
How can we get custom tables and newly created tables in PBI directly than using OData method as it may get deprecated in coming future.
Can anyone list best practices for this process and is any step we missed either from BI or Dataverse permission related?
I have the same issue for an specific dataverse environment. Some of the most recent created custom tables are not visible in powerquery using the dataverse connector whereas older and system tables are visible.
I really have no clue how to solve this!
Hi Experts,
Anyone having clue how to deal with this without going via OData method? Since connecting to Dataverse connector should do the trick then what's the catch?
@Ethan_R , refer these old solution

Hi @amitchandak ,
These are not the solution since I'm not seeing when connecting to Dataverse.
Yes, Custom tables are having prefix (Got only few existing tables) yet there's no selected custom tables and newly created tables in standard form.
I'm trying to create Report from scratch, 1 of your solution is downloading a report with semantic model. Here I am working on semantic to create new report but I cannot see custom Tables in Dataverse when trying to connect with Dataverse.
Do you know why? or is there any hard-refresh to end-point or permission issues?
I checked most of PBI community answers but none of them comes to actual solution to this problem identiying where the issue is
Did you ever managed to find a root cause? Having exactly same issue now and 0 valuable information anywhere.
Hi @vbvbvb ,
Althought I'm not sure of what's causing this but I had quick requirement and we settled using OData link directly. Although the dataverse connector should have pulled proper tables and metadata but something isn't right for this.
I found the issue just few hours ago - had to go to "Advanced Settings" > Customisations > Customise the System > Publish All Customisations.
Tables immedatly showed up and started working with all new data in live time. Weird because this never was needed in the past, just regular publish was sufficent.
