I got error after typing this statement.
if(date([Deadline])<=date([Date of extratime]) then date( [Date of extratime]) else date([Deadline]))
Any help on this?

@Anonymous , do not use the first parenthesis "(" after if; and one at end ")"
try like
if [deadline] < [date of execution] then date[deadline] else [date of execution]
Change columns as per need
