Good day everyone!
I have a problem with one of my reports, it's configured with DirectQuery and points to Amazon Redshift.
The thing is, he won't let me see the report because of the following message
Then I go into the dataset settings to see the credentials and I get the following error
and when you reload your credentials, the following error
(the credentials are well loaded and typed, from the desktop it allows me to connect normally)
I would really appreciate the help
"adjust the timeout settings (PBI and Redshift if allowed) to allow longer connection attempts" did this configure from the desktop? or the service?
Hello! Here is a link to an article Chris Webb wrote for the Power BI side. I am not sure about the Redshift side. Chris Webb's BI Blog: Troubleshooting Power BI Timeouts, Part 2: Timeouts Specified In Power Query F...

Hi! Based on the error message you received it sounds like the error is coming from the Microsoft driver for Redshift and is happening during the connection process. This can be caused by network issues, database server overload (if the Redshift cluster is under a heavy load it may lead to timeouts), firewall or security settings may be blocking or causing delays, the query is complex and using so many resources it it causing a timeout.
You can check to see if there are any firewall congifurations blocking, check Redshift cluster to make sure it is capable of handling the connections, reduce query complexity, adjust timeout settings (PBI and Redshift if allowed) to allow for longer connection attempts.
