Creating a Power BI template for use by customers?

Hi all, at one of my former employers I spent considerable time to create a custom Power BI report that connected to the Salesforce API. I have found that others in my industry would also benefit from that report. I'll try to request a copy from my former employer, so a few questions:

  1. Is there a way they can provide just the config of the report without any underlying data (of course they wouldn't want to share company data)? It would/should just include the API calls, etc. that were configured, as well as the tables with formulas that were made.
  2. Is there a way then to create a master template, where I could share/sell this to others?
  3. Is there a way then that I could improve and update the master and the changes could be rolled out to anyone who had acquired the original master template?
  4. Is there a way I can get a copy of PowerBI Pro to work on this? Seems like without a corp email MS frowns on access. I applied to the 365 Developer Program and was accepted, but 1) I don't see PowerBI as a product there and 2) I'm denied access to a sandbox.

Thanks for any insights you can provide!

Brian

Great thanks, that answers questions 1 & 2 I believe, how about 3 & 4?

Hi @brk
I must admit that this is an area I'm less familiar with, as my expertise lies in analytics and visualization. However, it sounds like you're referring to pipeline management.
