Creating Conditional Column based on Date column

Hi guys!

I want to create a new column which is categorized on basis of start date. I have attached picture below.

Also, I don't know whether its possible or not but, can we automatically increase batch number if new date appears in the column?

Please note I am doing it in direct query.

Thankswant to add batch comparing date valuewant to add batch comparing date value
