Hello everyone.
I am tracking progrees for a project and would like to be able to create an indicator in my line charts for when a significant event or milestones occured or a target is approaching.
For example one chart is tracking traffic flow and I wish to be able to add an arrow or similar and descriptor stating when a major event occured rather than rely on tooltips. I also don't wish to insert arrows and text boxes as I have slicers in use.
Is there a way to do this?
I have an image below for reference, the arrows were shapes inserted and did have titles however I have removed them.

Hi @Mark_Berry
How is your Dataset set up? Is the visual above over time?
Are you using a star schema? If you are and you are using the Data from your date table for the time reference in the visual, you could create a seperate table for the Events of Milestones.
| Date | Type | TypeID | Description |
| 11.01.2022 | Event | 1 | Car Crash |
| 11.02.2023 | Milestone | 2 | No Traffic |
| 05.08.2022 | Milestone | 2 | Car Launched |
Create a one to many relationship between the date in your date table and the date in the new table. Create a Line and Bar chart, the data you have already goes into the Bar values and the Type ID goes into the line values. You may need to activate the secondary axis for the line chart. There a few Markers available and if you add a legend of the Type to the visual, you can pick and choose what colurs these Markers are
Thanks

Thanks Joe
