Create link for different types of files in powe bi

Hello , 

 

I am working on project to create report and the client wants to have links to files  that are sotred in sql server database . 
The files can be images , pdf files , docs, zip files etc .... 

is it possible to do that in power bi ( I think it's doable for pdf and images based on my research  ) 

thank you in advance and if I need to add more information so you can help me. Please let me know

Currently, zip and doc cannot be recognized by Power BI.

As far as I know, Power BI can recognize these types:

You can create an HTML link to a specific cell in an excel file, this link may help:

Hi @Rihab 

If you want to link to an image in SQL Server in Power BI, you can try the following:

 

In Power BI, Get Data > SQL Server database

Then select the table where the image is stored

Then change the data type of the image column to text in the Power Query interface:

Then create a custom column and append a URL to let Power BI understand that it's an image

Close & apply

Then select the Data Category Image URL within the modeling tab

Of course, if your Image is in the form of a url, you can also try the following methods:

 

First of all, create a column using the URL of the image.

Then select the column and change the data category to Image URL above the Columns tool.

Thank you so much for the tutorials , I still have one question, if it is possible to create a link for documents ( xls, doc , zip) ?
