Hiya - I am trying to visualise some data but cannot determine the best way to go about this!
My data is similar to the below; I have a row per staff member, and start date for when they are eligible, and an end date for when this eligibility stops. I would like to visualise this in what amounts to a gantt chart showing a bar per staff member.
Staff Name | Eligible From | Eligible Until |
Joe Bloggs | 1/7/19 | 17/7/22 |
Hannah Example | 1/7/19 | 10/10/25 |
Tom Smith | 24/12/20 | 11/2/27 |
I cannot use the Microsoft Custom Visual gantt chart, as it is very important I am able to change the colours of the legend (staff belong to colour-named teams, so I cannot have the default legend for the 'Red Team' coloured blue!).
I saw this post, but I would ideally like to avoid having to manually create custom calcualted columns - there are several hundred staff and the data will be added to constantly, so I want to only have to Refresh the report and allow the visuals to update implicitly.
Any suggetsions would be much appreciated - thank you so much!
Hi @deertower
Not quite understand your requirements, if you'd like to twerk the default option of "gantt chart " , you should probably raise it to the custom visual author. if not, you might consider creating pbix file that will contain some sample data (remove the confidential info), upload the pbix to onedrive for business and share the link to the file. Please do not forget to describe the expected results based on this sample data.
