Hi,
I coulnd't find a solution through my research for this problem. I would like to shift the Report Levels Filters fields box from the Visualizations pane into its own pane. Is this possible? Thank you in advance for the advice!
Hi @Anonymous
Currently, report level filter lies on the filter pane which is on the left of the "visualization" pane.
In addition, with the new filter experience, report consumers can also hover over any visual to see a read-only list of all the filters or slicers affecting that visual.
If you are looking into these features, please update Power BI Desktop to the lastest version
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-latest-update
If not, please let me know.
Best Regards

Hello,
i was able to get Power Bi Pro but do not see the "Filter pane option. When I log in with my user app on the web app, i can tetll that I am using the Pro version. When I am logged in on my Desktop though, I can't tell if it is pro or free because it looks exactly the same. I had my IT help desk guy do all the firewall stuff needed to make the changes to my machine.
any suggestions?
Hi @Anonymous
The feature of "filter pane" on a visual doesn't need a pro liscense.
It is this month's update for Power BI Desktop.
If your App/reports are created previously, or it is published from Power BI Desktop to Service with the previous version, it may be not showing the expect visuals as you like.
Please use the last version and republish it.
Best Regards

I have never published a Dashboard before on Power Bi, I am working on the first one. Will it appear once I publish? Will the pane reflect the filters I have in the report level filters?
Many thanks!
Hi,
Thank you so much for the information! Unfortunately, at this time I am unable to upgrade to Pro. Do I have any other cost-effective options? I essentially want to pull out and separate the filter fields so avoid any use errors with accidentally changing other fields.
Many thanks,
