Create a variable with Max value from a table

Hello All,

I need an output with Max value (preferabally a variable) from a table in Power BI and there are no filters that are needed to be added to get output.

Eg: I have a table in Power BI named AST.Growth and the corresponding SQL Query is

SELECT MAX(YEAR) FROM AST.Growth

Result: 2020

Hi @Anonymous ,

You can simply create a measure for this:

yourMeasure = MAX(AST.Growth[YEAR])

If you want the above value to remain static all through your dataset, then you can write it as follows:

yourMeasure = CALCULATE(MAX(AST.Growth[YEAR]), FILTER(ALL(AST.GROWTH)))

Thanks,

Pragati
