Create a new measure to return the number of months per quarter that is not affected by slicers. My data has month, year, & quarter. My currrent data has the full year of 2024 and Jan and Feb of 2025. So for Qtr 1,2,3,4 for 2024 it should always be 3. For Qtr 1 2025 the result should always be 2. Currently, if I pick an item in a slicer and there is no data for months, the Qtr count will only count the number of months with data. This will make the Qtr drop to 2 or 1 instead of staying at 3.
This formula works, but is affected by the slicers.
MonthsPerQtr =
VAR CurrentQtr = SELECTEDVALUE(T_Register[Quarter])
var CurrentYear = SELECTEDVALUE(T_Register[Year])
RETURN
CALCULATE(
DISTINCTCOUNT(T_Register[Month]),
T_Register[Quarter] = CurrentQtr,
T_Register[Year] = CurrentYear
)
