Hi guys
I could really use your help on something.
I have this table in Power BI:
Client code | Product bought | Date of the purchase |
125 | apples | 23-01-2022 |
125 | ham | 21-02-1999 |
852 | ham | 22-09-2021 |
4556 | ham | 23-01-2025 |
125 | bread | 23-01-2026 |
852 | bread | 23-01-2027 |
What I need to do is create a table and a funnel like these:
year 2020 | year 2021 | year 2022 | year 2023 | |
number of new clients with first product bought - apples | 1000 | 2000 | 1250 | 1500 |
number of new clients with first product bought - ham | 2500 | 3000 | 2000 | 2150 |
number of new clients with first product bought - bread | 1500 | 500 | 300 | 200 |
Not sure if I need to add calculated columns or I should only work in Report view....
Thanks so much for your time!

Not enough info in question to know what you need.
Hi there
Sorry if I wasn't very clear..
I need to somehow fill that table and that funnel with the data I already have (i enetered dummy data).
The issue is that I don't know how to calculate the first (initial) purchase date for each individual client per product..
Basically I need to know the products that were so appealing to my clients that they first bought.
This is for cross-selling purposes, example: you first eneterd my store cause you saw fresh apples in the display and bought them. The second time you bought my bread. So, let's say 80% of my new clients will come back for bread, so I need to advertise it targeting new clients, at their first purchase.
Hope this makes sense and thanks so much!
