I have an excel file linked to a source that feeds live data into an excel sheet. I need to upload this data to powerbi to create a real time dashboard that updates its values in sync with the excel file.
I am relatively new to all of this real time stuff and microsoft fabric and don't know how they actually work though I am experienced in powerbi desktop version. I have had my fair share of reading microsoft documentations but didn't find any solutions to my problem.
Please advise on how to proceed. Thanks
I appreciate all of your replies, after reviewing these videos I created an eventhouse but it doesn't accept .xlsx file to be uploaded. I need to have a chat with a consultant on this matter to see what's the best course of action that should be taken to achieve desired outcome.

Hi @AhmedMedhat , hello POSPOS , thank you for your prompt reply!
You could also consider Microsoft Fabric for Real-Time Data Streaming, it is a powerful tool for managing and streaming real-time data.
It integrates with multiple data sources and supports more complex real-time data stream processing.
If you plan to use Microsoft Fabric, you can start by setting up a streaming dataset in Power BI.
Then, use tools like the API or Azure Stream Analytics to push data to Power BI in real-time.

@AhmedMedhat - Excel supports Import mode. if you are connecting Power BI desktop to Excel, then for your excel updates to reflect in Power BI, you may have to set up refresh schedule at regular intervals.
