Create Filter Based on User's Entered Text

Hi,

I was asked to create a filter e.g. user entered "password" will show all the data containing this word from th visuals.

Any idea on how I can do it?

Thanks...tksnota01

Thanks. This was helpful but I need to filter specific text on 2 or more columns. Is that possible?

Hi @tksnota01,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.

May I know has your issue been resolved? If the response provided by the super user @danextian, addressed your query, could you please confirm? It helps us ensure that the solutions provided are effective and beneficial for everyone.

Additionally, please try this workaround which may resolve your issue: If you require a real text input instead of a slicer workaround, you can utilize Power Automate in Power BI to dynamically filter visuals based on user input. Begin by adding a Text Box in Power BI for UI purposes, then insert a Power Automate button from the Visualizations pane. Subsequently, create a Power Automate flow that captures the user’s input through a text field and updates a dataset or a parameter table in Power BI. This updated value can then be employed in a DAX measure to filter visuals dynamically based on the entered text.

Hi @tksnota01

Try using the Text slicer which is still in preview
