Thank you in advance for helping me locate the conditional formatting for a matrix in Power BI. Here are the steps I followed:
As you can see from the screenshot below, there is no โconditional formattingโ option. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @NewBee_M ! You can find the condittional formatting by expanding the arrow icon from your field/measure in Values:
There you will find the standard options as other visuals
If this was helpful, kindly mark it as Solved so it serves as future reference ๐

Hi @NewBee_M
Conditional formatting option is normally available when clicking the field in the measure title but if you're using a field parameter, it should be under Cell elements as you need to select the field to conditionally format from there. You can select on the visible fields or that which are currently in a slicer.

Hi Rey,
I apologize for missing your screenshot, which clearly illustrates your point. Using this, I can format the value section based on the condition.
Please disregard my first question. Instead, could you assist with my second question? I need to change the background color for the rows shown in the first column of my screenshot and the value associated with those rows.
Thank you!!!
Thank you very much for the quick response! I am new to Power BI, so please forgive me if this question seems basic. Do you mean to expand the arrow icon for the Value (shown in the screenshot below)?
Here is my situation: I am modifying a matrix that has several rows and one column with amounts in the values. As you can see from the second screenshot below, if I only show the first row, the background is normal. However, if I expand to the second or subsequent rows, the background color of the expanded row turns green, making the data almost invisible. Therefore, I want to change the background or prevent the background color from changing so that we can see the data clearly. Many thanks!
Hi @NewBee_M ! As per my knowledge, row headers can't be conditionally formatted in a matrix visual ๐

Thank you all for the response. Using the cell element, I can successfully change the background color in section C below (which includes the values of Rows A and B). However, I am still unable to change the background color of the titles for Rows A and B (the background remains dark green).
Perhaps I shouldnโt be looking into conditional formatting. Here is my situation again, and I hope you can help find a solution. Screenshot 1 below shows that when I only have Row A, everything looks fine. But when I expand Row A1, for example, the background color of Row A's title and Row Aโs value line changes to dark green (Screenshot 2). When I expand the B subtotal row, the next row C looks good, but both Rows A and B remain dark green. (Screenshot 3)

Screenshot 3 :
What I am expecting is no change in the background color when I expand rows.
Thank you!
