Hi Anonymous,

What version of power bi desktop are you test? If you are work with 32bit, I'd like to suggest you change to 64bit version to use more than 4 GB memory. 
In addition, how many records your data model tables have? Any complex measure nested or iterator function looping existed in your calculations fields? They can also cause the performance issue and spend huge amount of memory resources to calculate.
