Hi,
I have encountered an issue where my PowerBI has autosaved a file which I do not want anymore but it will not let me remove.
When I select the "No - remove files" option, my PowerBI freezes completely and will not complete.
I have looked for the file in the autorecovery folder and tried deleting there but it just freezes again on the recycling.
Does anyone know how I can remove/delete this file?
Thanks!

Hi,@Maestro_2197.I am glad to help you.
Hello,@foodd ,thanks for your concern about this issue.
Your answer is excellent!
And I would like to share some additional solutions below.
Thank you very much for your reply!
You could try turning the option off:Store auto recovery information every [10] minutes
Afterwards, make sure that power bi desktop is not running, and then try to force delete the pbix file using other deletion programs.
After successfully deleting the pbix file, open the original settings again to see if it works.
I hope my suggestions give you good ideas, if you have any more questions, please clarify in a follow-up reply.

Hello @Maestro_2197, to modify the Auto recovery settings for Power BI Desktop
and delete a file using File Explorer, follow these steps:
1. Sign out of Windows and then sign back in.
2. Open Power BI Desktop and go to File > Options and Settings > Options > Global > Save and Recover > Auto recovery.
3. Uncheck "Store auto recovery information.." and "Keep the last auto recovery version..", then click OK and close Power BI Desktop.
4. Using File Explorer, go to your Auto recovery file location, delete the Power BI report, and close File Explorer.
5. Reopen Power BI Desktop, navigate to File > Options and Settings > Options > Global > Save and Recover > Auto recovery.
6. Check "Store auto recovery information" and "Keep the last auto recovery version", then click OK.
If the above steps do not work, sign in as the Local Administrator and delete the file in question using File Explorer. Remember to disable Auto recovery options of Power BI Desktop before removing the file, and then re-enable the Auto recovery options after the file is deleted.
