To all PowerBI enthusiasts,
I'm trying to work out a problem concerning the conversion of a table with values and a valid-from timestamp to a table with the values for each end of the month.
The original data looks like this:
| ProductID | Validfrom | Value1 | Value2 | Value3 |
| ProductA | 25.01.2022 | 1 | 2 | 3 |
| ProductB | 25.02.2022 | 4 | 5 | 6 |
| ProductC | 25.03.2022 | 7 | 8 | 9 |
| ProductA | 26.05.2022 | 11 | 12 | 13 |
What I'd like to convert it to would look like this (having a value for each end of the month, depend on the most recent valid from timestamp):
| Period | ProductID | Value1 | Value2 | Value3 |
| 31.01.2022 | ProductA | 1 | 2 | 3 |
| 28.02.2022 | ProductA | 1 | 2 | 3 |
| 28.02.2022 | ProductB | 4 | 5 | 6 |
| 31.03.2022 | ProductA | 1 | 2 | 3 |
| 31.03.2022 | ProductB | 4 | 5 | 6 |
| 31.03.2022 | ProductC | 7 | 8 | 9 |
| 30.04.2022 | ProductA | 1 | 2 | 3 |
| 30.04.2022 | ProductB | 4 | 5 | 6 |
| 30.04.2022 | ProductC | 7 | 8 | 9 |
| 31.05.2022 | ProductA | 11 | 12 | 13 |
| 31.05.2022 | ProductB | 4 | 5 | 6 |
| 31.05.2022 | ProductC | 7 | 8 | 9 |
Does anyone have an idea how to approach this? Help very much appreciated!
Many thanks,
Marvin
@Anonymous Are you trying to do this in Power Query, DAX column or measure or ? If DAX, EOMONTH is the function you want.
