Convert exponent and infinity values to number or decimal

Hello PBI Pros,

Power bi table is filled with data coming from blob storage, I'm facing cast errors because some values are coming as strings, for example: "Infinity", "1.7976931348623157E+308", "-1.7976931348623157E+308".

Is there a way to cast these values or a workaround to do the conversion without facing the cast error?

Thank you in advance!

Hi @walid140891 ,

Select Transform Data, select the column which need to be converted. Select "Data Type" and choose the appropriate Data Type.

If conversion fails due to errors, select the "Replace Errors" from the Transform Tab. Then you can replace the "Infinity" value or any undefined values to null or anything that suit the column data type.

Or "Replace Values" options can be used.

Hope it might give you some idea on how to fix it, if it solves your issue mark the suggestion as solution:)
