Constant in New Column

I am looking to repeat a column total as a constant value in a NEW column. Any ideas on how to do this ?

Is [PRORATE] a measure or column? And what is your data structure?

calculate([prorate] ,all(Table))

or

calculate([prorate] ,allselected(Table))

No luck with either of these formulas, but I appreciate the suggestion.
