Constant Line on x-Axis Contingent on Selection?

I would like to show constant lines along the x-axis on this line chart for each transition from one day to the next. I can accomplish this simply by entering a hard date value for each line, but I would like the constant line to be in the visual only if the date/time is selected. With hard values, the visual looks like this:

Because the selection does not include the last 2 days, the visual shows empty fields.

I have struggled for a while with the ISINSCOPE function to see if I could create a measure that would show the constant line only when the date is within the selection, but I have hit the wall. Any advice appreciated.

    Hi MojoGene ,

    Please have a try.

    Constant Line =
    IF(
        ISINSCOPE('Table'[Date]),
        [Value of Constant Line],
        BLANK()
    )
