Good night, I have some boards connected each to different SQL Server databases that have been given access remotely and on different servers. I've been working normally updating the data without any problem and I've even had several dashboards open at once. From today the connections started reporting problems to me saying that it cannot be connected, that the server is unreachable. I did not make any changes to programming or connection, I revied my internet connection, I started working with a single board at a time and the problem persists. I even restarted the machine, the modem and tried to connect from scratch, but I can't. Agedez I get a lot of help telling me some tip to solve the problem.
@Anonymous , I am not able to see the error. screenshot is too small.
1. If the connection is given via VPN, check VPN is working properly.
2. If the connection is given using ip whitelisting, check Your IP with database admin
3. Edit the database connection details and try once more.
4. If you are facing it only after August 2020 update - check if there is any similar issue at - https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues
HI @Anonymous
Can hardly read a letter of teh error. Please check after you post.
This doesn't look like a PBI issue.
What Checks I would do in this case
1. Check my VPN connection.
2. Did I get change my AD passpword and is my DB connected through AD credentials, Update the password on data source.
3. Can I access the DB from any other application like, Oracle SQL developer, DBeaver
4. Is the server down(Should not be as it will be a P1), Contact admin so see if they can help.
