Connecting a report to different data sources

Hello, I'm trying to connect a power bi report to two different data sources. Those are a dataset in power bi data hub and an excel sheet containing a lookup table. 

The reason I don't add the excel table to the dataset is because the dataset is connected to a sql database and must refresh daily. I tried adding it to the dataset but now the daily refresh fails. Thus I want to add the exccel table to the report seperately. Is this possible?

Hi @314mp_M0th4 ,

As far as I know, everytime Power BI will refresh the data from all data source instead of only specific data souce. If you add data from multiple data source, you need to configure all credential correctly. Or the refresh will fail. 

Please make sure you configure the credential of excel data source correctly. I think you need to configure the credential for Gateway.
