Hi All
I have some Azure Components and would like to visualize some of the resources and their components. I have log analytics workspace, where all my logs are already going to that workspace.
Now I want to visualize and then automate the refresh everyday. Is there any connector in GetData from PowerBI to Log Analytics, just like we have to Connections between PowerBI and LogAnalytics.
How can I achieve it if I do not have them.
Hi @v-easonf-msft is there anyway to create a live connection or direct query Log Analytics using the M query option that you mentioned? I am looking to avoid having to import the data from log analytics. I noticed there is a connection for Azure Data Explorer, but I haven't seen one for Log Analytics, other than using the M Query. I also tried exporting to a Power BI dataset but that seems to fail every time.
Hi, @krishnamohan183
Log Analytics queries can be exported to M and used in Power BI directly. After running a successful query, select the Export to Power BI (M query) from the Export button in Log Analytics UI top action bar. Log Analytics creates a .txt file containing the M code that can be used directly in Power BI.
For more details, please refer to the following official article, which focuses on ways to feed data from Log Analytics to Microsoft Power BI to create more visually appealing reports and dashboards.
