Connect Jira Desktop
Hello,
I need to connect a Jira project to PowerBi Desktop.
I've never done this before, so I don't know where to begin.

Hi GiuGee,
Power BI connect JIRA via REST API, it actually open calls to "https://xxx.atlassian.net/rest/api/2/search?maxResults=500&startAt=0". So you can only retrieve all data then add filters to get expected result in POWER QUERY. You may need more details about its REST API.
In addition, if you want to connect to the online JIRA, you could refer to the JIRA content pack in Power BI Sevice.
Best Regards,

Hi GiuGee , the most common solution is to use one of the apps on the Atlassian website, like Alpha Serve. These apps are free for teams with fewer than 10 users, but the costs can become quite high for larger teams since they charge per Jira user. The most expensive subscription can be $30,000 per year. This per-user pricing model is somewhat controversial because costs increase as the team grows, even though the service remains the same.
An alternative is to use a one-time service to install a script that integrates Power BI with Jira. With this option, you pay once and don't have to worry about subscription fees. One such service is available here: vidi-corp.com.
