Hi Power BI Community,
Geography | Measure |
NORTH AMERICA | 34.2 |
CANADA | 47.1 |
UNITED STATES | 33.9 |
EUROPE | 33.1 |
FRANCE | 24.2 |
GERMANY | 22.7 |
ASIA | 47.9 |
CHINA | 19.3 |
INDIA | 57.4 |
Please refer the above table. This is the source data. I need to create a geographical hierarchy that contains two levels, the upper level being for Region and the lower one for Country, to depict in my visualizations while representing various measures. Please note that the measures are not additive (I can't sum the measures for United States and Canada to arrive at the measure for North America)
Please help me configure this hierarchy so that I can drill down from Region to Country.
Thanks,
Aditya

I would suggest a groups column to create your region column. You can decide if existing region values are included or not. Please see this article.

Hi @AdityaNayak ,
you have to build a geographical table like this:
Region | Country |
NORTH AMERICA | CANADA |
NORTH AMERICA | UNITED STATES |
EUROPE | FRANCE |
EUROPE | GERMANY |
ASIA | CHINA |
ASIA | INDIA |
