Hello All,
Right now in our office, we are calling to the Reception team to check which conference rooms are free and based on that we ask them to block the rooms. This is taking lot of time when ever we want to block the room, we need to get in touch with the Reception team.
Is there a workaround so that i can ask the Reception team to save the data in excel and i can show the room availabilty.
Which and all custom visuals need to use to get the dashboard? or is there any other alternative?
Hi @nagaraj007 ,
If i understand you correctly, you can ask Reception team to create an excel contains Roomnames and Roomstatus then create a table visual and publish the report to Power BI Service and share the report with you. Use Gateway to connect on-premised excel file with report on cloud service. Once a conference room is blocked, change the status in Excel to "block" and refresh dataset in Power BI Service then the report which is shared with you will refresh too(you can refresh report manually to make sure the report is latestet). And once a conference room is free, change the status in Excel to "block" and refresh dataset in Power BI Service.
Hopefully works for you. If i misunderstand your meaning, please let me know.
Best Regards,
Jay
