Conditional mapping in PowerBi

Dear Community,

I'm wondering, if it is possible to map locations on the Filled Map visual, conditionally.

I have a report, which maps the postal codes, in which the customers come from.

In most countries this is a solution, but the Faroe Islands and Greenland does somehow not support the Postal Codes solution. Whereas the idea of conditional mapping came to mind (if possible).

Is it possible to make Filled Map to map by Postal Code, but if the Country is Greenland or Faroe Islands, it should map by City?

I don't know where to start, if this should be possible.

Somehow it should drill down from Country --> City --> Postal Code, and if a certain Country is matched, then stop the drill down at City instead of drilling down to Postal Code?

Hi @Anonymous ,

Based on my test, it looks like that postal codes in China cannot work either. In your scenario, for the countries which cannot support postal codes, we can type the City name to the Postal Code level, like Country --> City --> City
