Hi,
I'm using a live connection to a PowerBI-masterfile and tried to add conditional formatting to a table in a report, but I'm not able to adjust this by e.g. using rules based on other columns.
What do I need to add to make this possible?
Regards,
Jurrien
Solved! Go to Solution.
In the data model there was a relationship missing between tables on which the measure was calculated. Therefore the corresponding rule couldn't be adjusted.
Thanks guys for the suggestions! There was something wrong with the data model and after fixing this, it all works fine!

Hi @Anonymous ,
It's glad to hear that your problem has been resolved. If it is convenient, could you briefly explain the problem in your model and the solution on it, which will help others in the community to provide some clues or ideas if they encounter a similar problem as yours. Thank you very much for your contribution. Also, could you please mark your post as Answered since the problem is solved? Thank you.
Best Regards
Hi @Anonymous ,
How did you make conditional formatting for the table? You mentioned that you can't adjust it based on other columns, is there any error message reported? Could you please provide a screenshot of the corresponding conditional formatting setting page? Thank you.
In additon, you can refer to the following links to make conditional formatting for your table visual.
Conditional formatting in Power BI
Conditional Formatting - on live connection
Apply measure as "Field value" in Conditional formatting with Live connection
I couldn't use my measure which was created in Power BI Desktop with live connection, but it is possible to add this measure to Analysis Services tabular model.
Then I can add the measure (that return hex color) to conditional formatting.
Best Regards
@Anonymous , Usually it based on another measure or based max/min/count of the column. What error you are facing or are you not able to select anything?
