I am using conditional formatting in Matrix, but could not get it in the totals.

Not sure, but maybe the image below shows what you are looking for:
The above example is formatting the background color using the Field values formatting option, nevertheless, the Applies to property is available for all options though: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/desktop-conditional-table-formatting
