From what I'm reading, Microsoft has not yet fully implemented conditional formatting in tables, in Power BI. I can see this is possible with a measure, but not possible with simple data in a table. I add data to a table, right click, no option for conditional formatting. Sigh.
For instance, if a record date (just data, not a measure) is in the past, it might come up with a pink background.
Now I'm still using Access to produce my reports. Anyone at MS feel like getting on this one? It would be awesome.

Hi @joglidden,
Based on my test, Conditional Formatting feature is available for measures instead of column fields in a table visual currently. For more information, please refer to "Conditional formatting in tables" section in this article: Power BI Desktop May Update Feature Summary.
For your requirement, I will report it internally and will keep you updated if I get any feedback.

Sorry, using version: 2.36.4434.381 32-bit (June, 2016) and still don’t see it. Please remove Solution if this feature has not been fully implemented. Thanks
Yes, that is an error on my part. There is no solution. Please indicate to me how to do this, thanks.

I'm still using MS Access! I really think that Power BI ought to be able to do the things that Access does. Just sayin'.
@joglidden You can do conditional formatting in power bi desktop. See below. You need to drop field onto Color Saturation area then under paintbrush icon expand Data colors and provide min max values to color code. Yes but you can't do that in tables yet.
Right, and I appreciate the response and the insight. But that's not a table, that's a graph. I need to be able to do this:
Which is in Access. It doesn't have to look like it, just with colors on the dates. Can't see that option when I right-click on the field.
If you have recently started exploring Fabric, we'd love to hear how it's going. Your feedback can help with product improvements.
