Hi - I have a stacked column chart comparing two years of data (2023/24 and 2024/25) for 6 regions, with each year broken down into quarters. For the second year, there are three quarters which are estimated (Q2, Q3, Q4). I'd like to show the estimated quarters as dashed/faded colour rather than block colour (as a forecast). Can I create a measure for this? Years are shown as 2024 - 2025; quarters as Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4. Any help would be much appreciated - thanks!

Hi @Anonymous - Stacked column chart in Power BI with styles (such as dashed or faded color), you can use a combination of DAX measures and conditional formatting. While Power BI does not support directly applying dashed lines or faded colors to specific segments within a column chart visualization.
I think you can try with conditional formatting by creating a flag with estimated and actual values with flag 0 and 1
In Format pane of the stacked column chart>>Under Data colors, set different colors for actual values and estimated values.
To give the estimated quarters a "faded" look, select a lighter shade or transparency for the estimated measure.
Try the above alternative , Let know.
