we have a currency selection prompt where it displays values as "Group" and "Local". If we select Groups the report will display the numbers in Group Currency and if we click Local the report will display numbers in Local currency (This works fine).
The Requirement is below ...
We have another dashboard Prompt for Country selection. The requirement is to display only Group selection if Multiple countries are selected , but if single country is selected in prompt then my currency prompt should display Group and Local (User should be able to switch between Group or Local selectetion when one country is selected) and user should be able to select only Group when multiple countries are selected.
This is obvious because we cannot sum up the Local currencies for multiple countries. Any suggestions ideas are Appreciated 🙂
Hi @Anonymous ,
Based on your description, I still have a little confused about your scenario.
Firstly, is the dashbord you mentioned the report in Power BI Desktop?
In addition, what is the group and local selection and the country selection? Do you create the slicer for that?
If it is convenient, could you share a dummy pbix file which can reproduce the scenario, so that we can help further investigate on it? You can upload it to OneDrive and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.
Best Regards,
Cherry
I have 2 dashboard Prompts one is Country and One is Currency
I have a country prompt which displays countries (Country1,country2, country 3 etc) .. and I have the Currency prompt which has values as 'Local' and "Group"
Say my Country 1 whcih is USA and the Group currency (reporting Currency) is Dollars .. So when I select "Group" in the Currency Prompt my numbers should always be displayed in Dollars irrespective of the country I select (Single selection or multiple selection.. Group currency values can be summed up ).
But when there is a single Country selction in the country prompt my Curreny prompt should also display "local" along with "Group" so that I can switch between the local and group Currency for that particular country selected in Prompt.
The requirement is to Hide the Local selection value when I select multiple countries in the country prompt as the local currency cannot be summed up.
Let me know if this is clear else I can explain with an example (sample values).
