Conditional Formatting to different colours based on a value

Hi All,

Im looking for help.

Is there a way i can replicate this table below as is, then use conditional formatting to asign a colour to a value like in excel?

Ive tried below (see picture) but the columns in power bi filter then in some way (looks like distinct values only) and dont show all the value in the columns.

Is there a way to show the table as is below without any filtering?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi @Anonymous ,

try below

  1. In the "Report" view, select the table visual that is exhibiting the filtering behavior.
  2. In the "Visualizations" pane on the right, click on the "Format" section (paint roller icon).
  3. Under the "Data" section, check if any filters have been applied to the visual. If there are any filters, remove them by clicking the "X" next to each filter or selecting "Clear All" to remove all filters.
  4. Check if there are any slicers or other visuals on the report page that could be filtering the table. If there are any slicers, ensure that they are not connected to the table visual or modify their settings to include all values.
  5. If you have applied any measures or calculated columns that might affect the filtering behavior, review their formulas and logic to ensure they are not inadvertently causing the issue.
  6. Save the report and refresh the visual to see if the filtering issue has been resolved.

Hi @Anonymous ,

try below steps

To replicate a table in Power BI and apply conditional formatting without any filtering, you can follow these steps:

  1. Import your data into Power BI and create a table visual by selecting the table icon from the visualization pane.

  2. Drag and drop the relevant fields from your dataset into the "Values" area of the table visual. This will populate the table with your data.

  3. To apply conditional formatting, select the column you want to format by clicking on the column header in the table visual.

  4. In the "Home" tab of the Power BI ribbon, click on the "Conditional formatting" button in the "Font color" section.

  5. Choose the formatting rule you want to apply, such as "Color Scale," "Data bars," or "Icon sets."

  6. Configure the formatting options according to your preferences, such as selecting the color scheme, setting the minimum and maximum values, and choosing the desired formatting style.

  7. Repeat steps 3 to 6 for each column where you want to apply conditional formatting.

Hi Thanks for your feedback appreciated it ,
I have already tried dropped the values into the table as you can see on the righthand side of the second image the columns have been added (Green) and the table has the columns inserted.
But instead of the first column showing 11 rows it only show 4 rows. It seems to be filtering but i cant work out how to prevent it from doing it.
e.g
column     it filters it to only
1                                     1

2                                     1

1                                     2
