I am new to Power BI and understand I cant use a multi key to build relationships between tables. The problem I need to solve is as follows. I hope I have provided enough detail.
I have 2 tables:-
- Fact_Indicator
- Dim_Indicator
- Dim_Indicator_Narrative
The Fact_Indicator table has Indicator_ID and the relationship is fine between that and the Dim_Indicator table. The fact table also has a column called Indicator_Outcome. The 2 possible outsomes of Indicator_Outcome are 1 (Positive) or 2 (Negative)
What I want to do is the following:-
If Fact_Indicator.Indicator_Outcome = 1 display column1 and column2 from Dim_Indicator Nattative table or
If Fact_Indicator.Indicator_Outcome = 2 display column3 and column4 from Dim_Indicator Nattative table.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi, the plan is to display the cols in a matrix. Since posting, I have progressed by creating a Merge query using multiple cols to join the tables. This seems to be giving me the results I need but not sure if this is the most efficient way to solve the issue.
where and how do you expect to display column1,2 or 3,4?
