Hi,
Q1: Can you review this conditional column query to ensure its correct:-
If [Mileage] is less than 25 Then 0-25 Miles
If [Mileage] is less than 100 Then 25-100 Miles
If [Mileage] is less than 200 Then 100-200 Miles
If [Mileage] is greater than 201 Then 200 Plus
Is this the correct If...Then... stack? If not, then please correct me.
Q2: Import Mode
When I add a Conditional Column; it converts my PowerBi report to Import Mode as opposed to Direct Query. Why is this? What is the advantage and disadvantage of this please?

A1: If you add it from the UI of the conditional column, usually it would be correct. You also can check the code by opening the Advanced Editor. Please refer to the snapshot below.
A2: It's still Direct Query mode in my test. How did you add the new column? Maybe it's too complicated.
